Month 2: January 17, 2011 → February 13, 2012

Posted by mysticnumbers on January 16, 2012

Mystical Numerology uses a 13-month calendar that begins on December 20 each year. The resulting 13 months are almost uniformly 28-day months in a non-leap year. We move into Month 2 on Tuesday, January 17. It will last through Monday, February 13.

This month takes on the energy and qualities of the 2, which include: global consciousness, Now – the pivotal moment, relationships & sponsorships, problem-solving, organizing power, personal justice and equality.

Mystical: On the Medicine Wheel, “2” is the number that connects the G_d-Source (center) with physical awareness and the material world (west). It is the energy that defines perceptual reality and is the womb for all potential possibilities. It is the step at which the “self” enters perceptual reality and becomes self-aware but still has access to perfect knowing. It represents the ancient mysteries, mystical experience and connection with global consciousness. It is the pivotal “now” moment that anchors both past and future.

Practical: The “2” is the number of conscious intention, intellectual effort, observation and concentration. It is the masculine energy of the problem-solver, of quiet determination and organizing power, the need to acquire and own things, and have possessions. So, it is a good month to apply your mind, get organized and solve problems.

On a collective level, “2” is the number of equilibrium, collective consent, unselfishness and is the cooperative social glue that holds things together.  It is the realm of human relationships and the desire to create equilibrium, the need to share with others. It is about steadfastness and sponsorship. Expect the issue of relationships to be center stage, and – especially in the political arena – the issue of sponsorships.

The “2” also represents the need to acquire and own things and have possessions. This, in turn, is connected with the need to set boundaries, have security, and the desire for personal justice and equality. Expect justice and equality to be in the spotlight.

Downside: Perceptual reality is woven on the loom of duality. All numbers have both positive and negative/shadow qualities. As much as the positive side of the “2” is about relationship and how our individual lives interpenetrate with others, the shadow side of the “2” is characterized by alienation, rootlessness, loneliness, self-pity and paralysis. The positive side looks like calm concentration, but the flip-side is irrational impulses, rambunctiousness and the mob mentality. It is the number of the adversary, and is represented by friction, invasiveness, social stress, and religious fanaticism.

Together with intolerance, judgmentalism and need for control highlighted below in the “7” Universal Month energy, we can expect a fiery political process in the coming 28-day period. Let’s hope our leaders can keep the lid on things.

Mayan Correspondence: “2” is called “E” (pronounced “Eh”), and represents the spiritual path or sacred way. It is the second step in creation, creative action, where the infinite path of time finds a space in which to manifest. It is the path of destiny, the path that a person walks, and the road of life. “E” is the energy of travel, and of facilitators and bringers of news.

7 Universal Month

The Universal Month is calculated by adding the “2” Month to the “5” Year: 2 + 2+0+1+2 = 7).

Mystical: “7” is the number that connects the mind (east) with the Source (center), and so is like a gateway to universal wisdom and infinite potential, especially since “Mind is the builder,” as Edgar Cayce used to say. In Jewish Mysticism, “7” represents the Shekhinah, or feminine face of God. It is the number of humanity but also of heaven, suggesting that heaven really is within us. It is the number of the mystic, oracle, muse, and messenger.

Practical: The “7” energy gives the urge to find the “truth,” and know how the world really works. It represents the quest for fundamental knowledge and the one who ultimately becomes the expert or authority in their chosen field. By extension, it also represents authority figures.

A quest for knowledge is necessarily linked to a passion for knowing, and frequently with a drive to achieve and the ability to inspire others, and to initiate new projects and ideas. The “7” energy also is the number of the idealist, conscience, and moral awareness. The high side of this is also the need to give which is actually a stronger urge in humanity than the need to dominate or control (scientists have recently proven this).

The point is that in a “7” month passion and idealism will be front and center. The “7” energy can prompt individuals and groups to crusade for their beliefs. So, as one person’s ideals are often in direct conflict with someone else’s (e.g. a woman’s right to an abortion vs. the right-to-life, and so on), this is a period when we can expect fireworks in the political arena – especially since the “7” is also about tolerance, judgment and control. We can expect the flip side to appear: intolerant, judgmental and controlling behaviors and actions.

The “7” energy can also cause people to be overzealous in their work, so take care this month that you don’t overdo it. There is a danger of burnout. The “7” energy can prompt you to be quite linear, logical and precise which is great in some cases. But, it can also lead you to be over-controlling, and forget to allow joy and spontaneity into your life.

The softer side of the “7” month is about the contemplative life, and is a good time to be introspective. Indeed, you may find yourself feeling introverted at times and drawn inwards toward periods of contemplation. If this happens for you, recognize that you are probably preparing for the next growth spurt, like going into the chrysalis waiting to be reborn as a butterfly. It is important to periodically stop, and take time for rest, relaxation, recreation and rejuvenation. In fact, to maintain your balance, you may need space to think and recharge – especially during this period. But remember that sometimes, recharging your personal batteries looks like having an adventure, and being carefree and playful!

The “7” is the number of study and the ability to learn, so it is a good time to improve your mind or seek the out the fundamental truth in things.

Downside:  The shadow side of the “7” comes from a lack of trust in yourself and others, and trust in life itself. It can look like obstacles on your path, energy blockages in your body, a broken heart, feeling inadequate or inferior, being overly fussy or absent-minded and unaware, feeling turned-off or being just plain uncaring. These things can combine in various ways to cause psychic distress and often result in protective behaviors. These can include irritability, feeling envious, losing your temper, being directive and controlling, being divisive, and challenging authority figures and authority, in general. Alternately, it can result in disappointment, apathy, laziness and fatigue.

The cure for the shadow side is learning trust, and lightening up by developing a sense of joy in life. In fact, a very good practice during this period is to start the day by filling yourself as much as possible with joy. Try it. It works!

Mayan Correspondence: “7” is called “Noj.” It represents knowledge and wisdom that comes from the universe and the Earth. It is the energy of telepathy and “knowing” without consciously knowing how you know.

This is a very good period for nourishing the mind, improving the memory, and turning knowledge and experience into wisdom. It is a good time to seek harmony in your relationships. It is also a good period to strengthen your inner knowing. A good practice during Noj periods is to ask yourself questions, and then listen to your inner guidance for answers. You might even do this as part of a journaling process.

Month 1: December 20, 2011 → January 16, 2012

Posted by mysticnumbers on January 13, 2012

Mystical Numerology uses a 13-month calendar that begins on December 20 each year. The resulting 13 months are almost uniformly 28-day months in a non-leap year. We moved into Month 1 on Tuesday, December 20. It will last through Monday, January 16.

This month takes on the energy of the 1: Genesis, birth, the creative principle, potential, the beginnings of things.

Mystical: “1” represents the Creator, the “I AM,” absoluteness, the incomprehensible, zero-point energy, and undifferentiated pre-space. It is the archetypal world that exists beyond both space and time, but out of which the material world is born.

“1” is the supernatural world, out-of-body experiences, psychic energy, clairvoyance, channeling, second sight, gnosis and the ability to know without knowing how you know. This energy is closely linked to having a spiritual drive.

Practical: “1” is the Mother principle, the egg or ovum, the processes of genesis, planting, and birth. It also represents the newborn, sunrise, wonder, and the innocence of being childlike. By extension, the “1” represents the beginnings of things whether they are intangible like new ideas or goals, or tangible things such as newborn children, plants in their seed phase, new projects or ventures. It is the creative principle, the quality or originality, and the power to innovate and invent.

So, this is a good month to establish goals, start new projects, ventures or campaigns. It is a great time to innovate and give roots to new ideas.

“1” also represents the “self,” selfhood and those qualities liked to the self such as positive qualities of self-interest, self-regard and self-reliance. So, work on yourself this month. Remember, we change the world by changing ourselves.

Downside: The shadow side of the “1” energy is “Maya:” the sense-world phenomena that conceals the unity of absolute being – in other words, illusion. On a more practical level, “1”represents cataclysmic events which can totally reshape things and the wretchedness that can result, but also the self-inflicted kind. On a personal level, a “1” month puts strong-willed natures and self-interest center stage (which we are certainly seeing in the political arena).

Mayan Correspondence: In the Kiche Mayan tradition, this energy is called Batz. It is symbolized by the “Thread” that connects past, present and future. Batz is the start of life, infinite time, and unity. This sign symbolizes cosmic phenomena and original wisdom. Batz is the Creator of life and wisdom, and presides over the future.

The energy of Batz is a good time to put things in order or to begin planning a project. It is a good time for marriage, or to bring more harmony into relationship, partnership or business. It is also a good energy to solve family problems. It protects artists and is an auspicious time to say prayers for things to grow and prosper.

6 Universal Month

The Universal Month is calculated by adding the “1” Month to the “5” Year (2012 = 2+0+1+2 = 5).

Mystical:  The mystical meaning of the “6” is the soul drinking light in order to embrace ancient wisdom. The energy of the “6” represents the personal part of you that reaches up with intention to embrace and work with the sacred. It brings heightened perception and a window to the collective consciousness. The “6” is the number of the shaman, prophet, and awakener.

Practical: On a practical level, the “6” is the number of causality and formative power. This translates into personal power, dynamism and making things happen. “6” is the number of discovery, and governs the questions, “How, who, why and why not?” It is the energy of change and favors those people who are originators and awakeners, influencers and trendsetters.

It is also the energy that deals with finding one’s place in the scheme of things.  It is the people, the public, society, and social cohesion. A “6” month enhances the ability to influence people and relate with others, so it is no wonder that the political process is already in top gear going full throttle.

Philosophy, governing principles, laws, reward systems, and ethical principles all fall under the energy of the “6.” So, the current political debate over the underlying principles of the Republican party and capitalism, executive compensation, the ethics of “creative destruction” in business (e.g. venture capitalism vs. vulture capitalism) – all of these are in keeping with the energy of the month.

The “6” represents the sacred marriage of masculine and feminine. It is the number of relationships, emotional wellness, individual happiness, the sense of belonging, and lovemaking. In a “6” month, you are likely to feel more empathic and connected with others, and relationships will be up for review.

Downside:  The “6” represents the often unseen shadow parts of things, the polarities between light and dark, and the imbalances in life and in our systems. It is the number of arrogance and cynicism, insecurity and indecision, self-destruction, procrastination and avoidance. The flip-side is volatile situations, revolutionary change, domination, avarice and dictatorial abuse.

Mayan Correspondence: “6” is called Ajmaq, the Lord of Forgiveness and Reconciliation. It also represents ancient wisdom that comes from the brain in communication with the Spirit Guides.

Any Ajmaq period is about forgiveness – forgiving others for their mistakes, and forgiving yourself for your mistakes. It is a good time to reconcile with others. It is also a good time to cure illnesses, defend the dispossessed, seek justice, and achieve harmony with Mother Earth.

Core Energies for the Months of the Year

The following table gives the dates for each of the 13 months of the year in the Mystical Numerology Calendar and the core meanings of the energy of each month. You may find it useful to return to this table periodically to review the meanings, plan certain kinds of events, or compare what kinds of things are happening with the basic energies. As an example, December 20 – January 16 is a good period for starting new things, and seeing the potential for new projects and enterprises. The period of January 17 – February 13 is a good time to focus on relationships, come into balance, or take advantage of the natural organizing power of the month. And, so on …

Symptoms of the Coming Shift

Ways the Shift Can Happen

Thanks to Sue Mehrtens at the Jungian Center for the Spiritual Sciences for the following article:*

See http://jungiancenter.org/ for their website.

As the energies of the planet are rising, each individual experiences the shift of energy in different ways. Here are some of the more common manifestations:

Mood swings. Subtle or powerful mood swings, from periods of great sadness with no obvious reason to periods of elation, also with no apparent cause. Sometimes this shows up as intense emotional outbursts (especially if we have been unaware of or not processing feelings as they arise). In this transitional interval it is really helpful to allow emotions to flow; don’t repress or express, but rather confess – write in your journal or share your feelings with someone with whom you resonate.

Fluctuating energy levels. You may find yourself changing from feeling fully energized to totally exhausted, at the drop of a hat, for no obvious reason.

Fluctuating subtle energy levels. The changes in subtle energy can manifest in feelings of being ungrounded, “spacey” or dissociated from reality, or feeling like you are plugged into an electrical outlet. To handle these manifestations, practice grounding exercises on a regular basis. These can also include yoga, Tai Chi, and so on.

Physical pain. Mild but inexplicable headaches, joint pain, muscle pain, and even nerve pain are possible when we get overcharged with the changing harmonics.

Greater sensitivity. This can take the form of feeling with your entire being, rather than just your 5 senses. You might notice stronger feelings around other people and more intuitive impressions.

Intense dreaming. You may have many more dreams than you usually remember or your dreams may have lots of symbolism, deeper meaning or intensity, or your dreams may seem to make no sense at all.

Brain fog. You may find it hard to focus or make sense of things. You may have trouble finding the words you want to say or your verbal expression may get garbled.

Changes in the diet. You may crave foods you never liked before, or the reverse: you may no longer like foods that have been favorites. Food allergies may also develop.

Digestive sensitivities. Constipation or diarrhea may become problems, or you may find indigestion becomes a problem. Some people develop heartburn, others a stronger appetite with more hunger pangs.

Lack of concentration or decisiveness. During those times when you are not fully adjusted to the changing energies you may find it hard to do mental work requiring concentration. When your system has not yet caught up to the new energies you also may find it hard to make a decision.

Memory issues. During intense energy fluxes, short-term memory can be affected. If you are markedly out of phase with the new energies, even long-term memory can be a problem.

Unusual awareness. The rising energies are helping us to awaken to other realities, and this can show up in daily life in heightened intuition, precognition, or telepathy. It can also manifest as glimpses or visions of other realities, especially via peripheral vision; these visions can be of people, animals, or inexplicable scenes.

Relationship issues. Everyone on the planet is being affected by these energies, and everyone will react differently. When you enter a relationship, your energy and the other person’s energies harmonize, but as the energies now are changing, you may find that you are no longer in harmony with your partner. Relationships may become challenging or may even end altogether, if they no longer fit. If this happens, remember that you will develop other relationships that are in complete harmony with your energy.

Lack of tolerance for lies. The rising energies have no place for untruth, and you may find yourself developing a drive to seek the truth, and a fine sensitivity for sensing when others are not being honest.

The need for solitude. Due to the heightened sensitivity of this time, it is not unusual for people to find they need time alone. Solitude can be very healing now, but keep a balance. Isolation can become just as unbalanced as compulsive extraversion (that is one curse of the American temperament).

Interruption of sleep patterns. You may find yourself sleeping intermittently, having difficulty falling asleep, or feeling the need to sleep more than usual. Be gentle with yourself and try to create for yourself a daily schedule that allows you to get adequate rest. This might take the form of short naps during the day or going to bed earlier than usual.

Fear. We already see, in the media, how the approach of December 21, 2012 is being hyped. Because sensationalism sells movies, magazines and newspapers, we can expect to find all sorts of bogus material appearing in the months ahead, all designed to stir up fear and other negative emotions (especially in a U.S. election year!). The key here is to remember your personal truth and the reality that we always have choice: We can see the glass half empty (the scarcity response) or the glass half full (the abundance response). Reality is what we create, not what others might want us to believe.

Full-blown awakening. This effect can be very disconcerting and challenging to your sense of reality. You may experience bliss, feel intensely the love of the Universe, recognize the inherent perfection in all things, and not want to leave this wonderful space. Meanwhile, others (especially family and close friends) may wonder what’s wrong with you and worry that you have “flipped out.” If this happens to you, remember that the bliss won’t last (Alas!); you’ll return to mundane reality, but with new perceptions of it.

Changes in global relations. In the months ahead, we are going to see negative changes (conflicts for political or religious gain, power struggles between countries, factions, tribes, or races, or more terrorism) as well as positive shifts (the growing awareness of the need for a world that works for everyone, more calls for a one-world perspective and changes to our social, economic and political systems to create equity and justice for all).
