Week 50
The “5” energy connects the infinite, spiritual dimension (north) and the personal, emotional dimension of life (south). It is the Goddess energy, and is Spirit reaching down to touch our hearts and infuse us with knowing. It is the number of divine longing, teachability, education, creativity and inquisitiveness. Pleasure and pain, laughter, words and oratorical ability are all facets of the “5.” It is very expansive and hard to handle at times, like drinking light from a cosmic fire hose. With the “5” energy, Spirit is in the driver’s seat. Spirit comes, often unbidden, and takes charge, sending visions and insights, and (sometimes) it shakes up your life.
In the Jewish Kabbalah, “5” is considered the number of understanding. Like the five fingers on the hand being able to grasp something, the “5” gives the insight to understand things as ancient wisdom connects with us at a heart level. It this kind of knowing that gives the ability to shape ideas, projects, and life events through the power of your imagination and intention.
Mayan Correspondence: “Tzikin,” the Eagle. The energy of the week is about the flow of abundance and prosperity, and the richness and treasures of the Earth. This week, say prayers to ensure that the energy keeps coming in and going out, keeps flowing.
Indeed, the “5” energy wants freedom, change and spontaneity. It doesn’t like limitations or boundaries. So, it brings up the issue of finding the right balance between freedom and using the power of focused intention to create whatever inspires you.
To be in balance, the “5” needs to cultivate the freedom to create, play, and pursue the beauty of life. Artistic endeavors, music, creativity, play, and the powerful energy of sex and sexuality (e.g., through the study of Tantric practices, and the like) are all possible ways to strengthen the spiritual—emotional connection and stay in balance.
The “50/5” week also brings a deep longing for learning and sharing the knowing that comes with the connection to the archetypal world. There is an ability to see the “big picture.” There is also an inherent ability for analysis, and the rational thinking needed to organize and assemble information, people, events or things. These are great business attributes that often result in accumulating money and resources. … There is also an underlying tendency to be at the vanguard of new thinking that can also manifest as a desire for social change.
Downside or “Shadow” side: Although the “5” energy is predominantly positive, there can be a tendency to be peevish and quarrelsome, covetous, deceptive, or overeager. Since the “5” can scatter energies in too many directions at once, fatigue and lethargy is sometimes an issue. Alternately, there can be a tendency toward getting “stuck” through, for example, fixation on certain ideas or beliefs. Another downside of the “5” is being immature, clueless and empty-headed.
Animal Totems: lioness, polar bear. Deity: Neptune.
Science: acoustics, homeopathy, marine biology, physics.
